Finally got my Nutella Fix!

After reading so many post about nutella lately, I couldn't take it anymore! I just had to use my jar of nutella and do something with it! (Short of eating it straight out of the jar with a big spoon...which by the way is also very good!). Since I love making and eating these 2 layer skinned Chinese pastries (See previous blog about making their skin), I thought, "why not put some nutella-walnut filling in them?" Wow, they were good! It's quite a nice change from the usual red or green bean paste filling, and the addition of walnuts offsets the sweetness of the nutella and adds a crunchy suprise with each bite. As you can see from my pictures below, they didn't last long...each bite was truly delicious, and I have finally satisfied by huge nutella craving!

What an innovative idea! Now you just gave me an idea of how to use up my new jar of Nutella. Love those chinese pastries too, might give it a try when the mood strike me! Thanks! Your nutella piah looks delish!

Evan,
yes I agree! It's definately east-meet-west. Although I hear Nutella is very common in italy too, so I guess it's an east-meet-west-meet-european? I was actually born in china. Moved to the US with my folks when I was 5, and have been living here ever since. This probably explains why I have a hard time reading my chinese cookbooks!
Precious moments and Little corner,
Thanks! I get my creative ideas from all of you guys too!

Hi Evan!
I'm not sure if I qualify as an ABC since I wasn't born in the US. I enjoy asian foods more than American cuisines). I also like songs for Asia, mini series from china and korea, and definately celebrate many traditions like chinese new year. But I have to admit I'm pretty Americanized too...I love reality tv, jeans, cheese, and well, can't read much Chinese :)

Peony,
I just checked out your blog with your beautiful tsp's! Guess we're mind readers!
